EXPECTED RESULTS
Our Group of Experts submitted a resolution to the Democracy Committee, Social Cohesion and Global Challenges on June 28 to create this working group and assign the mission to study the feasibility of establishing a network of European intercultural alliances
Agenda
June 2015: Adoption of a resolution aimed at creating a network of European intercultural alliances by the Committee on Democracy, Social Cohesion and Global Challenges
2016: feasibility study in the Member States (identification of existing structures (study of needs, resources and potential ways)
2017: If the feasibility analysis reveals to be conclusive, writing of a model Charter to be disseminated in Europe and beyond / Study of certification procedures by the Council of Europe (General Secretariat or any other Council of Europe body)

THEME
- Feasibility of establishing a network of European intercultural alliances designed to meet the growing threat of rejection of cultural, religious or ethnic differences within European societies increasingly intertwined and multicultural because of population movements to the member States of the Council of Europe and within
AIMS
- Facilitate the meeting of people of different origin and culture in a place open and non-confrontation
- Stimulate the creation of intercultural work and meeting areas in all member states of the Council of Europe.
- Contribute to reconciliation of historical or circumstantial opponents, recognized or latent, either in violent a face to face, but in the mutual recognition of their common humanity
EXPECTED RESULTS
- awareness of the need for meeting places under the leadership of the Council of Europe
- Introduction of a recognition of the Organization through a label
- adoption of a best practices charter
- Establishment of a collaboration within the quadrilogue with relevant NGOs
