THEME
Impact of the economic crisis and the absence of European standards on health, from access to care up to  the diagnosis of disease, health care and medico-social care of patients,

OBJECTIVES
  1. Meet growing public health problems caused by
  •     shortage of qualified staff
  •     a lack of harmonization of diagnosis and care practices,
  •     a standardization of treatment protocols in defiance of the fragility and sometimes the willingness expressed by the patient,

Adapt geriatric care to prevent dependence, entailing in all member states heavy expenses and violation of human rights i

EXPECTED RESULTS
  •     Awareness of the other pillars of the Council of Europe, particularly the Pharmacopoeia, the Committee of Ministers and the relevant committees of the Parliamentary Assembly and Congress
  •     Awareness of local, national and international Media
  •     Awareness of  practitioners and users associations
  •     Sensitization of Member States through the Council of Europe bodies and NGOs from the Conference
  •     Collaboration with WHO , Pharmacopoeia  and the European Commission

PLANNED ACTIONS
  • Auditions, observation and analysis of European practices
  • Establishing a procedure for developing virtuous standards for
                    training of practitioners

diagnostic tools (biological and radiological)

therapeutic care (applying to the public sector and the private sector)
